Graeme Smith to miss IPL season 5

South Africa's Test captain Graeme Smith will miss the 5th editon of Indian Premier League to have surgery to fix a chronic ankle injury and ensure he is fully fit for his team's tour of England.

Smith's participation in the IPL 4, his first season for Pune, was also curtailed due to a knee injury and he also missed the Champions League T20 at the end of 2011 to have surgery on that knee.
